In the heart of Munich : Our Atelier

Located in one of Europe’s strongest industrial ecosystems, our workshop benefits from a deep engineering culture. We also work closely with local partners operating at automotive and aeronautical standards, ensuring every component and assembly is produced with the precision required for high-end watchmaking tools.

Our machining capabilities, including milling, turning, grinding, metrology, and assembly, are integrated directly in-house, giving us 100% control over critical operations, surface quality, and geometry. This is where precision engineering meets watchmaking artistry. Every tool, prototype, and machine is developed, machined, and validated under one roof, resulting in polishing, satin-finishing, and lapping solutions trusted by watchmakers around the world.

Products

200+ projects per year

At Micromecalp, everything starts with the finish you want to achieve. The machine and accessories that will produce it is something we select carefully together.

Every year, we work on around 200 projects for leading watchmaking brands and independent watchmakers. From mirror polishing and satin finishing to lapping and other precision operations, each project brings its own challenges in terms of geometry, surface quality, and aesthetics.

Manual finishes are a craft. They require an understanding of how light plays on a surface, how edges and geometries must be preserved, and how to achieve the right balance between appearance and precision. Our expertise lies in translating that craftsmanship into mechanical processes that deliver the same quality, consistently, from a single prototype to industrial production.

This is why we like start with the result you want. Then we develop the method, the tooling, and the setup to make sure you achieve it.

Training

Over 150 people trained

At Micromecalp®, we recognize that purchasing our tools is just the beginning of your experience. We are the first to design refinishing machines with a deep understanding of the tasks you will perform! Our goal is to share our comprehensive knowledge with you, helping you to fully utilize your tools and achieve impeccable results with your machine from day one. Our Munich workshop is outfitted with our "LAB" full training equipment and resources, inviting all our customers and friends to come and learn while honing their skills.

Stop guessing. Start mastering.

Future

Constant evolution : our  DNA

In just a few years, we have transformed our vision into high-precision tools and machines trusted by independent watchmakers and leading brands in the industry.

Our commitment to R&D goes beyond adopting advanced methods. We actively contribute to the evolution of finishing processes and especially in the watchmaking industry.

Equipped with precision in-house manufacturing capabilities and supported by local manufacturing partners, we engineer solutions designed for micron-level accuracy, long-term endurance, and flawless geometrical control.

The result: tools and machines that build on generations of polishing expertise, preserving the quality of traditional finishing while bringing greater precision, consistency, and repeatability to every surface, edge, and small detail.

Customized Solutions

We can build it customized for you

If you need a customized mechanical solution for your craft or industry, Micromecalp can support you with a precise and efficient engineering process.

We work with advanced CAD modelling, finite-element (FEM) analysis, and thermal simulations to validate your concept before any material is cut. This allows us to assess stiffness, tolerances, load behaviour, thermal stability, and long-term repeatability (which are critical factors for high-precision operations on watch cases, movement components, jewellery parts or medical implants).

You tell us the functional requirement and we translate it into a custom solution.

We do not design machines, we engineer them !

Founder & CEO

Rudy Repellin

Founder & Managing Director

Rudy began his professional career in precision machining, gaining hands-on experience in turning, milling, and precision manufacturing techniques. Over the following years, he worked in mechanical engineering, project management, international business development, and industrial management, progressing to a management position within the holding company of a major international industrial group.

Alongside his professional career, Rudy has been involved in watchmaking and precision mechanics for more than a decade. He further developed his practical knowledge through specialized training at the Swiss watchmaking institute WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program).

His interest in watchmaking and precision finishing led him to develop his own finishing machines and tools, initially intended for his own use. After several years of technical development and growing interest from other professionals and manufacturers, this project grew into the establishment of Micromecalp GmbH.

Through his practical experience, Rudy identified a gap between modern precision manufacturing requirements and the tools available for traditional hand-finishing operations. Micromecalp was founded to bridge this gap, combining modern mechanical engineering, traditional techniques worth preserving, and the knowledge and craftsmanship inherited from Swiss and European watchmaking. Micromecalp’s approach focuses on preserving and advancing traditional polishing techniques, making sure that the skills of experienced craftspeople persist in an increasingly automated industry.
